Healing Grace Step Study

Hurts, habits or hang-ups? Join us for a new study this Sunday, September 25, at 5:30-7pm and will meet  each week for about six months. See Doug Wagner for more details. This is a great study that can also go hand-in-hand with CR.

Healing Grace Step Study-Do you need a new beginning, a fresh start, a walking journey from chaos to wholeness? The harder you have tried to control your behavior, hurt or habit, the more unmanageable it has become? God is the only one that has the power to change you. Yes, but how?

There is hope!  More amazing than that, there is purpose for those hurts, habits and hang-ups.  We ALL have them.  They are a product of choices and no one is exempt. We have ALL hurt ourselves, been hurt by others, or have hurt others as we have traveled through life.  That means we are all on this journey together and can relate to each other’s story.  However, God has gone to unfathomable lengths to relieve us from this burden by sending Jesus to take the pain for us. He came to release us from the things that control our wills.

And what do we do with that freedom in Christ?

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

We can choose to accept God’s comfort in our lives and share the grace of God to those still on the journey.

HEALING GRACE STEP STUDY:

Book 1:  Stepping Out of Denial into God’s Grace

Book 2:  Taking an Honest and Spiritual Inventory

Book 3:  Getting Right with God, yourself, and Others

Book 4:  Growing in Christ While Helping Others

This is a study that will carry out the principle of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. By applying the biblical principles of conviction, conversion, surrender, confession, restitution, prayer, quiet time, witnessing, and helping one another, we will be carrying out the greatest commission of Jesus:  seek and save the lost.

You are invited to become a part of this exciting mission effort of our church family by entering into this study and learning about your own freedom in Christ so that  you can share that good news with others.
