Jesus said to his loved disciples, “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” (John 13:13-17)
Soul Care is like washing each other’s feet. There were messed up souls attached to those feet, and Jesus humbled himself to love, serve and honor them. To be messengers of the love of God, Jesus has asked us to do the same. When you think about it, washing someone’s feet is rather personal. The posture is humbling for both people. Yet the one being served is elevated above the one serving. What does that look like for us as we desire to follow Jesus’ example?
We all have a powerful way to share into each other’s lives. It is called communicating. Whenever we communicate, if we do it without the Spirit, it is Self Talk; but whatever we can do only with the Spirit is Soul Talk. Soul Talk is a spiritual connection with another person that focuses on pouring the life of Christ from one person to another in order to facilitate greater spiritual growth. For our conversations to touch the soul of another person so that they drew nearer to God, what would we want to understand about ourselves, and them, in order for that to happen? It’s learning the way of Soul Care. You will love it!
During this workshop, we will learn practical applications for entering into the lives of others with caring grace, thoughtfulness and the Spirit. There will be discussions, handouts and maybe even role play. You will leave with a vision of what God is doing in your life as you engage in a different language of Soul Talk.
Here are some areas we will talk about:

A New Way to Relate
Paying Closer Attention
Go Beneath the Superficial
