An Investment in Eternity – Teen Camp 2025
Every summer, our Northside 7th through 12th graders have the privilege of stepping away from daily routines to focus fully on God’s Word, worship, and Christian fellowship at Teen Camp. This year was no exception. God worked in powerful ways, and the spiritual growth we witnessed had eternal implications.
Teen Camp is more than just a fun week in the mountains. It’s a time for our young men and women to draw near to Christ, to wrestle with His truth, and to encourage one another in faith. Through daily devotionals, heartfelt worship, small group studies, and late-night conversations about life and Scripture, our teens were reminded that following Jesus is not just something we do at camp; it’s a daily walk. Many left with renewed commitments to live boldly for Christ, strengthened by both His Word and the bonds of Christian friendship.
We also saw the body of Christ in action in a tangible way. Northside invests deeply in Teen Camp each year, ensuring that no teenager is left behind. The results are seen in transformed hearts, stronger faith, and relationships that point each other toward heaven. This year, our church family added a special touch: the “Adopt a Camper” prayer ministry. Not only did you pray for our campers, but you also sent encouraging messages that became treasured moments during the week. Northside members sent over 300 messages to campers this year. What an amazing way to support our teens!
This year our theme verse was Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
The promise of God’s transformation through our willingness to sacrifice is one that gives comfort and purpose to our lives. My prayer for every young man and woman at Northside is that they grow in their sacrificial habits, and in doing so, are able to be refined and experience the unbelievable plan God has for them.
It’s impossible to fully recreate the mountaintop moments of camp in a single evening, but our hope is that you catch a glimpse of what God is doing in the hearts of our teens. On behalf of them, and from my own heart—thank you for loving, praying, writing, and investing in the next generation. Northside truly is a special place, and we are blessed beyond measure to call it home.
