Argentina Update
Thirteen years ago, Jonathan Hanegan planted a church that met in his living room. They later moved to a rented building, and now, with 50-60 in attendance every Sunday, the church may soon need to move again!
Almost three years ago, Northside added Chema & Vanessa Izarra to Jonathan’s team. And for two years, Eric & Loren Prato are serving as interns with Jonathan. What a dream team!
On April 26, those worshipping at Northside got to watch an update video from our Buenos Aires team. In case you missed it, below are some exciting
updates they shared in recent reports.
- In January, Vanessa coordinated a women’s retreat. And on April 25, the church hosted an area-wide women’s conference. Seven people from other countries taught and participated in the conference.
- In May, 11 students and a Bible professor from Abilene Christian University will visit with the church for two weeks. Their trip will coincide with the annual all-church retreat, and Jonathan expects their biggest numbers ever.
Chema has started a monthly meeting for older brothers to study the Bible, pray, and enjoy a time of fellowship.- Several church visitors have recently asked to study the Bible.
- Jonathan is teaching an Old Testament overview class online. Please pray for his students from all over North, Central, and South America as well as Spain.
- Since January, Chema & Vanessa have hosted a monthly marriage class for couples in the church.
