Hospitality At Its Finest
Northside is blessed with a LOT of hard-working under-rowers! Two good examples of this are our Hospitality and Funeral Meals Teams. These women all have the spiritual gift of service and are talented cooks. The Funeral Meals Team provides meals for families when they gather at Northside to celebrate the life of a loved one. And the Hospitality Team is in charge of the meals we serve at two New Members’ Dinners each year and at the Deacon & Ministry Leader Appreciation Dinner we have every other year.
Our most recent appreciation dinner was held last Sunday, October 6, and there were rave reviews from those who were blessed to enjoy the delicious food. Then on the following Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, the Funeral Meals Team prepared lunch for the families of Bobby Weber, Wayne Rogers, and Brody Griffitts.
The primary volunteers on these teams are Renee Cothran, Lori Dunham, Cleta Sandlin, Lena Duncan, Betty Ford, and Norma Banning. Several other women and men help with these meals as needed, and dozens of members make food for funeral lunches and desserts for the special dinners.
God has truly blessed us at Northside with volunteers who are eager to serve others!
