Austin & Chloe Clark grew up at Northside and got to be good friends in 7th grade. She was just 4 when her family became members here and his family came to Northside when he was 8. Austin graduated from Andover Central High School in 2014 and then attended K State and WSU for a while. During his high school and college years, Austin played catcher on his school baseball teams. He has worked at Textron Aviation since 2018, and for the past three years has been in Quality Assurance. Austin enjoys outdoor activities, especially playing golf, softball, and baseball. Chloe was born in Nebraska, but has spent most of her life in the Wichita area. She graduated from Goddard High School in 2014 and from WSU in 2020 with a degree in sociology. Chloe worked for three years for Bling as a boutique manager and new store coordinator throughout Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. For the past three years she has worked at Friends University as a student services coordinator/recruiter. She enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with family. Austin & Chloe have a two-year-old daughter named Ava who they say is always busy and loves to color, draw, read, sing, and play at the park. Ava is due to get a new baby brother in April. Chloe is blessed to have several family members at Northside, including her parents, Mark & Michelle Lewis, her grandmother, Shirley Ford, her aunt, Amanda Douglas, and a LOT of cousins.
Aaron & Sarah Hess have returned to Wichita and Northside after living in Savannah, GA, for 14 years. He was born in Broken Arrow, OK, then his family moved to Valley Center when he was three. Aaron and Sarah met at Northside when they were four and were married in the Fellowship Hall in 2002 when the Auditorium was being expanded. He graduated from Valley Center High School (VCHS) in 2000 and went on to get a bachelor’s degree in 2006 and a master’s in 2010, both from WSU in aerospace engineering. Aaron worked for Cessna for two years, Spirit for three years, and has worked for Gulfstream as a stress engineer since 2011. Sarah was born and raised in the Wichita area and graduated from VCHS in 1999. She attended Oklahoma Christian University for a couple of years on a softball scholarship, then completed her degree in exercise science in 2005 at WSU. Sarah worked as a fitness director for YMCA for five years, then quit to be a stay-at-home mom when their first child was born. She enjoys running and taking care of their children. Sarah is the granddaughter of Margie Casebolt, the niece of Justin & Cindy Abraham, and is also related to five other Northside families. The Hesses have five children. Stuart (17) is a senior at VCHS, likes history and videos games, and just started his first job at Pizza Hut. John (15) is a sophomore at VCHS and plays the snare drum in the band and loves science. Anne (13) is in 8th grade and is homeschooled. She loves to paint and play soccer. Claire (10) is in 4th grade and is homeschooled. She loves animals, science, making bracelets, building things with Legos, and doing other crafts. Baker (1) likes getting into everything. And even though their dad is an engineer, so far, none of the kids has shown an interest in math. Aaron is still holding out hope for Baker, though!
