“Let Go! Allow God’s Glory to Flow!”
Genesis 50:20 NIV
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
I came across this passage earlier this week during one of my early morning reading times. Immediately, a thought came to me: “There’s no need to complain or get upset. God uses what others meant to harm us as a
platform to promote us onward and upward toward our absolute best.”
Satan often tries to distract us by tempting us to focus on what others do or say. It’s an effective tactic, because he knows how prone we are to over-analyze and compare ourselves to others—whether it’s measuring our success against the world or against fellow Christians. It’s part of our human nature to notice when others seem to have more favor, power, or influence than we do. But when we resist this temptation and embrace our true identity in Christ, we align ourselves with the promises and
purpose He has for us through Kingdom life.
At certain points in life, the wisest decision we can make is simply to trust God’s story, His process, and His plan. He has already prepared a path and place for us, and He eagerly awaits our willingness to repent, confess, and walk in His
righteousness.
My favorite two words from this passage are “BUT GOD.” How often have you found yourself confused, fearful, frustrated, or angry? But God arrives, and suddenly everything has to bend to His will. Opportunities to witness God’s glory are all around us—it’s up to us to set our hearts, minds, and souls on being vessels for that glory.
So don’t worry, don’t fret. God’s not finished with you, and He’s certainly not finished with His story yet! Blessings In Him!
