Ryan Larson was born and raised in Wichita and attended Campus High School. He and his former wife raised three children in Colorado. Noah is now 22 and Nadia is 20. Sadly, their youngest child, Amelia, died in a car wreck caused by a drunk driver in December 2024 when she was 18. Ryan returned to Wichita several months ago and began working for First Street Pump Well Service drilling and servicing irrigation wells. He also works part-time for Wendy’s. Ryan learned about the churches of Christ when he watched a live TikTok discussion hosted by a Christian in Texas. When Ryan told him that he wanted to visit a church of Christ, that brother put him in touch with us and he has been attending Northside ever since, along with his nephew, Shawn Foster. Shawn is 9 years old and is in 4th grade in Derby. Ryan enjoys fishing, riding horses, and working on dirt track cars with his brother, Robert, who races them at 81 Speedway.

Jacub & Amanda Bruning met when they were students at Pittsburg State University. She grew up in the Wichita area, and he was raised on a farm in Ellsworth. After college, Jacub served in the Army Signal Corps for seven years and achieved the rank of captain. He now works as the IT Director for LDF Companies. His hobbies include coaching recreational sports, hiking, and helping his boys with 4-H projects. When Amanda was ages 8-14, she and her family were Northside members and she was baptized at Silver Maple Camp. Amanda went to SMC every summer and now serves as a counselor. She graduated with degrees in graphic  design and marketing and still does some logo designs and branding. After nine years of being a stay-at-home mom, Amanda has now worked at Hesston Elementary for two years as a first grade teacher assistant helping students with reading, math, and keyboarding. She enjoys playing basketball with the boys, helping them with 4-H projects, and raising chickens. Their son, Logan (9), is in 4th grade and enjoys reading, fishing, sports, BB guns, and playing with Oakley, their Double Doodle dog. Eli (7) is in 1st grade, loves sports, and enjoys drawing. He is looking forward to getting involved in 4-H and going to Silver Maple Camp.
