Jeremiah Hill is 15 and will be a sophomore at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School. He was baptized at Northside last November by Don Jones and is an active member of our youth group. Jeremiah was born in Wichita and spent much of his early life in Decatur, Georgia. He still spends several weeks every summer with an aunt in Decatur, and while there, attends the Renaissance church of Christ and participates in their Teen Camp. He plans to be back in Wichita in time to also go to our annual Teen Camp in August. Jeremiah plays basketball for the Court Kings team in the City League. He alternates between the shooting guard and point guard positions and averages 21 points per game. His all-time high score is 28 points! Jeremiah likes being part of the Northside youth group and our church community. He especially enjoys helping with youth group service activities and participating in devotionals and Wednesday night small groups. In his free time, Jeremiah likes being outside biking or walking, and he enjoys going to the YMCA. He has German Shepherd and Shih Tsu Maltese dogs named Socks and Max.
Chad & Jaye Poe and their three children live in Maize. He was born in Wichita and raised mostly here, but also spent time in Texas and Arkansas and graduated from high school in Norfork, AR. Chad worked as a mechanic in the Army right out of high school for eight years. After the Army, Chad worked construction jobs doing remodeling and commercial construction. For the past four years he has worked for the City of Maize in Public Works. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and coaching CJ’s junior football team. Jaye was born in Wichita and moved a lot growing up. She graduated from high school in Great Bend. Jaye has worked in the in-home health care field, she worked seven years for Walmart as department manager of the deli and then online shopping, she worked four years at the Donovan car dealership, and for the past two years has served as the City Clerk in Clearwater. Jaye enjoys crafts and gardening. Caidyn (14) will be a freshman at Maize High School. He likes playing football, basketball, and does multiple track and field events for the school team. Adalee (11) will be in 6th grade at Maize Intermediate School. If you were at Northside last Sunday morning, you were privileged to witness Adalee’s baptism by her dad. Adalee enjoys playing basketball and doing all sorts of crafts, especially sewing and creative painting. CJ (Chad, Jr.) just turned 7 and will be in 2nd grade at Maize Central Elementary School. He likes playing basketball, wrestling, and playing junior football on the team his dad coaches.
