Our God, Sees, Hears, and Delivers
Have you ever struggled with the burden of a heavy heart? Unsure why or where to even start, only to feel the weight grow heavier as the day drags on? Sometimes, we struggle with the many stressors of life unaware of the spiritual battles being waged silently around us every day. The enemy loves to creep in with discouragement and doubt, distracting us from the truth of who God is and who we are in Him. In the midst of daily trials, it’s easy to forget that Abba Father never leaves us. He is faithful and He is always near.
Psalm 34:15-22
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protect all his bones, not one of them will be broken. Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
So often, Lord, my eyes are fixed on the chaos of this world around us, instead of the calm we can find within You! We anticipate pain, brace for disappointment, and forget how wide and perfect Your love has always been. Yet You remain faithful to remind us that we can, that we will, and that we must trust You. As we seek You, even through our tears or fears, we are surrounded by Your righteousness, lifted by Your light, and renewed by Your presence. Let Psalm 34 be our anthem today. We are never forgotten nor forsaken, only found, loved, and delivered by an almighty God who saves!
