Someday

Someday there will be no more heartache or sadness.

Someday there will be no more doctor visits.

Someday the weather will be perfect all the time and there will be no more storms.

Someday we will no longer have worry, anxiety or fear.

Someday there will be no more time.

Someday there will be no more temptations or sin.

Someday your eyes will never again shed tears.

Someday we will leave this broken world and live in a perfect one.

Someday faith will be sight.

Someday there will never be another funeral.

Someday you will be at complete peace and rest.

Someday there will be a fantastic reunion.

Someday everything will be completely new.

Someday we will dwell with God.

Someday is closer now than it has ever been.

Someday will be an indescribable existence of eternal, unending joy.

Aren’t you ready for that day?  Me too.  And while today isn’t yet someday, the Bible reminds us again and again that someday is coming.

“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

“Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.

They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.

There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

“Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

“No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—

The longer I am in this world, the more I look forward to leaving it to be with Jesus. It’s beyond comprehension, but we are promised that it’s going to be truly amazing. Even as I do my best to imagine it, I can respond only like John did “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.”

May the promise of Someday give us all hope for today.
