TOP THREE QUESTIONS ABOUT wwwG
In case you don’t know, the annual Women Walking with God Conference is THE biggest women’s event in the churches of Christ – anywhere. It is a huge deal! Go to womenwalkingwithgod.org to see details on this year’s lineup of world-class speakers and entertainers. In addition to the in-person event on April 14 & 15 at Hartman Arena, this year’s Conference is being simulcast to host congregations all over the country.
With less than a month to go before the 2023 Women Walking with God Conference, I have three questions for you Northside members.
- Will you be there? (This question is for women only, but you men keep reading.) I realize there are health problems and conflicts in life that can prohibit some from making it, but most Northside women should be there. Why? a) Because it’s good for you. You can’t find this kind of teaching, encouragement, fellowship, laughter, worship, shopping, and entertainment anywhere for any price. b) Because you should support your NS sisters. Dozens of Northside women have been working for 18 months to bring back a new-and-improved wwwG after the COVID years. They have exceeded all expectations for excellence, and you should recognize their hard work by showing up. c) Because there are hundreds of women from small congregations coming to see YOU. When asked why they come, many attendees say it is the host of women, singing and praying together for the weekend, that motivates them for the rest of the year. That crowd will be better if YOU are part of it. So, get registered and be there! In case your excuse is that you can’t afford it, here are two offers. First, if you really can’t afford it, tell me and I’ll get you a ticket. Second, if you’re just not sure it would be worth it, I’ll offer you a money-back guarantee. Register, buy the ticket, and attend both days. If you are disappointed, come see me on April 16 and I’ll write you a check.
- Who have you invited? The wwwG Conference was designed in 2007 as an event that church of Christ women could benefit from, as well as be comfortable with inviting their friends and family to experience with them. It’s a fantastic opportunity to influence that special friend for good.
- Have you encouraged your wife to go? (This is the question for men only.) Tell her she can afford it. Tell her you can handle the kids for 24 hours. Tell her she deserves a girls-only weekend. Tell her to buy a T-shirt and a mug and a few good Christian books and a few music CDs and whatever else makes her happy. Man up!
