James & Peggy Wilson

James and Peggy came to Northside in 1973 when James transferred here with NCR.  James worked for NCR and IFR Systems and is currently self-employed in investments.

Born and reared in Corpus Christi, James met Peggy in Austin (her hometown), while they were attending the University of Texas at Austin.  They both have a Master’s degree, James in computer science and Peggy in mathematics.  Peggy currently works in Sedgwick County Information Services as a Senior Systems Analyst.

Becoming a deacon in 1982, James coordinated our Fellowship activities and directed Family Camp (one of Northside’s largest annual events) for eight years.  He also taught a number of adult classes.  James has served as an elder since 1993.  Peggy helped start the Cradle Roll class at Northside and has taught primary classes and Vacation Bible School.  James and Peggy were part of the team that started the Wednesday night suppers.

James and Peggy enjoy attending sporting events together.  James also umpires fast pitch softball and Peggy enjoys reading, crocheting, and playing the clarinet.

They have three grown children.  Beth lives in Atlanta; Mark lives in Colorado Springs; and Jill Staggs, and her children, Claire and Ethan, live in Wichita and attend Northside.
