Children’s Ministries

Through a variety of ministries we care for and train children from diapers to discipleship. Teachers and helpers are equipped to effectively teach little ones the basics of Christianity.

Nursing Mothers’ Room

Available in northeast hallway

Training Room

Soundproof room with view of auditorium for parents to train children to sit quietly during worship

Attended Nursery (For babies under 2 years old)

Available in the northwest hallway during Sunday morning worship service, staffed by adult women.

Bible Classes (18 months – grade 6)

Comprehensive Bible teaching on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Our children’s Bible classes are one of the biggest reasons families like Northside! Students from five years old through fourth grade participate in the Safari to the Son program and rotate through workshops on Storytelling, Drama, Music & Memory, Games, Geography, and “Creation Station.” Students in 5th and 6th grade have their own special class in the Loft 252 room to prepare them for being a part of the youth group.

Children’s Training Hour (3 years old – 1st grade)

During morning worship most Sundays children ages 3 through 1st grade can attend Children’s Training Hour where they hear Bible lessons, sing songs, and play games on their level.

Children’s Camps (9 years – 18 years)

During the summer many children attend Silver Maple Camp, a church of Christ sponsored camp near Kingman, Kansas. Children learn more about God and spend time with their friends in an outdoor setting. Oklahoma Christian University also offers a couple of camps for kids on their campus. Camp Cornerstone (6-8th grade) and Camp Zenith (9th-12th grade) offer youth a Bible-based theme in a dorm-like setting.
