Welcome to the Northside Youth Group!
If you are new here, allow us to introduce ourselves. We are the student ministry to 7th-12th graders at the Northside church of Christ. Our mission is to mold and shape teens into spiritually mature Christian adults who love God and love others. We have lots of programs, camps and activities that are designed to help teens from any background to grow closer to God, love and serve others and get to know other Christian teens. We are a very friendly and fun group of people.
We hope you find all you need to know on this website, but we REALLY hope you’ll come visit us in person 🙂
You are loved.
Where We Hang:
Room 302 & 304 in the South Hallway. There’s always doughnuts out and Cokes in the fridge!
TEXT: On Sundays at 9am and Wednesdays at 7:15pm, we dive into the Text! You’ll be challenged, inspired, convicted & taught in real and relevant ways. Don’t have a Bible? No problem, we’ve got some you can borrow.
CRUSH: On Sunday nights from 7-9pm we eat some food, play some goofy games, have a great worship time & get into God’s word together! It’s $5 for Northside teens, but guests are always welcome (and free)!
Mini-DEVOS: Once a month on Sunday nights, from 7-9pm, we split up our group. Sometimes by middle school & high school. Sometimes by guys & gals. We meet at a home, share a meal and spend time getting to know each other better. Teens lead during these times.
SERVE: You know it’s not ALL about you right? Jesus said the greatest are the least. And as His disciples, we are continually looking for ways to meet the needs of others. Might be at a soup kitchen. Might be mowing a lawn. Might be Wichita Workcamp. Might be serving at Habitat for Humanity. Might be giving blood. Might be going to Ronald McDonald House. Might be serving the folks at Carpenter Place. Might just be visiting a lonely widow. But, when you come to our group, be ready to put Love God & Love others into practice in very real ways.
CAMP: It’s the One. Big. Thing. in our youth group: Teen Camp. Every year in the first week of August we go to the mountains of Golden, Colorado. And on the mountain we meet the Maker of all the mountains. We learn. We grow. We bond. We chill. We lead. We serve. We worship. We hike. We eat. We laugh. We cry. Ultimately, we get closer to God and closer together as a youth group.
MORE: And in between all the regular stuff we do things like: Winterfest, lock-Ins, WinterJam, Worlds of Fun, Six Flags, campouts, retreats, Silver Maple Camp and more!
If you jump in, you might be many things, but BORED is not one of them!
