The Christmas Project: Our annual youth group service tradition, The Christmas Project, will be on Sunday, December 9th. That’s just 3 weeks away! If you’re not familiar with the Christmas Project, here’s how it works: The youth group gives an entire Christmas to people in need. At the teen board, there are 60 envelopes (numbered from 1 to 60). We ask each youth group family to decide as a family how much they would like to give to help them. Then, you choose the envelopes that make that amount and return them sealed with that amount of cash inside. Turn in all envelopes by Sunday, December 2. On Sunday, December 9, the teens participating will be at the building all day. We’ll have lunch together, divide up into teams, go shopping, return to NS to sort, wrap, and label the gifts. Make plans now to be a part of this great project!
Winterfest: Winter may seem like a long way off, but Winterfest is closer than you think! Winterfest will be on January 18-20 at the Arlington Convention Center in Arlington, TX. Join us on the bus as we and THOUSANDS of other teens from around the nation for a weekend of intense spiritual growth, outstanding Christian speakers & powerful worship! The theme this year is “The Way” and the cost is $150. A deposit of $50 is required to reserve your spot. The balance is due by January 13. SPECIAL DEAL: If you put a deposit down by Sunday, December 2, you get a $25 earlybird discount! Get signed up, get a packing list and get your deposit in ASAP! The seats on the bus go quickly J
Journey: Looking to go deeper in your relationship with God? Journey will continue on Monday nights at 7-9pm in the teen room at the church building. Come join us as we Journey together. We’ll postpone Journey starting November 26 and resume again in January.
P31G: On Sunday, November 18, the youth group girls will be leading a devotional for the Loft 252 girls. The event, aka. P31G, will start in the teen room after morning worship. There will be lunch, games and a devotional together. They’ll finish by 2pm. If you’d like to help lead or just attend, be sure to talk to Kelly Tyson.
WeKids: Need a kid-friendly option on Wednesday Nights? Starting on October 17, from 5:45-6:45, on Wednesday nights, parents may bring their children ages 3-10 to room 106 of the Safari to the Son. The teens will watch them and have some activities (games, puzzles & videos) planned during that time. Simply bring them by and sign them in. Space is limited to 25 spots.
